Benefits

401(K) PLAN

All full-time and part-time employees are eligible from their first day of employment. Level Strategy will match any employee contributions up to 6% of included compensation.

PAID HOLIDAYS

11 paid holidays following the federal holiday schedule.

PAID TIME OFF (PTO)

New employees start with 3 weeks (120 hours) of PTO which includes both sick leave and vacation time. PTO accrues throughout the calendar year at a rate based on years of service.

HEALTH CARE

Employees are eligible for health benefits the first of the month after 30 days of continued employment. Level Strategy currently has three levels of medical coverage, and additional dental and vision care coverage.

Systems Engineer

We are seeking a Systems Engineer to work on a large, 10-year, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) NextGen program. As a Systems Engineer, you will work closely with our senior engineers to design, develop, implement, and maintain systems and processes that ensure the safe and efficient operation of runway safety systems. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, working with cutting-edge technology in the aviation industry.


Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop enterprise class applications and infrastructures.

  • Provide operational and maintenance support along with others on the team.

  • Provide other development and analysis support as needed for the client.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of new systems and processes.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze system requirements and design efficient solutions.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to operations.

  • Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and internal policies.

  • Monitor system performance and identify areas for optimization and improvement.

  • Provide end-user support and training as needed.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience is required with relevant experience in systems engineering and application support providing full stack development.

  • Experience or knowledge designing and building solutions using ASP .NET MVC, .NET Core 2, C#, SQL, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, Java Script, JQuery, Git and continuous integration.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to work in agile approaches and implementing solutions with common design patterns (e.g. MVC, decorator, observer, factory, etc.) and automated testing (e.g. unit, feature / acceptance).

  • Qualifies and obtains the required government clearance (e.g. Public Trust 85P)

  • Knowledge or experience in one or more of the following practices is PLUS:

  • Managing a Windows and VMWare based infrastructure as code (i.e. applying and practicing DevOps)

  • Managing development, test and production environments in the cloud (e.g. AWS or Azure); and

  • Previous experience with the Federal Aviation Administration information system development and maintenance.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Tool Suite with advanced skill in use of Microsoft Excel.


Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of systems engineering concepts and methodologies.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.

  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).

  • Experience working with Linux/Unix operating systems.

  • Strong knowledge of network protocols and infrastructure.

  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.

  • Familiarity with the aviation industry is a plus.

  • Occasional travel to project sites


Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science/software engineering, or a related field.
